Classes

The primary mission of the Chicago School of Indian Music is to offer expert-level instruction on Indian music performance and theory. Students receive consistent and meaningful direction based on their individual needs, abilities, and talents.

All classes are taught by the Institute’s founder and director, Dr. Rajan Sachdeva.


A wide variety of classes are offered at all levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) for the following:

Sitar

Harmonium

Tabla

Sarod

In special cases where technical knowledge of an instrument exists (e.g. how to play notes), Indian music can be learned, e.g. Violin, Flute, and Clarinet.

Group and Individual classes are available in person or online.
